Célébrons les arts de l’Inde au Canada

On November 20th and 21st, the National Arts Centre (NAC) will play host to ArohaFest: a celebration of the arts of India in Canada. The only fully bilingual festival celebrating the arts of India to be held in Canada will feature dance, music, visual arts, yoga and Bollywood!

Les 20 et 21 novembre, le Centre national des Arts (CNA) accueillera l’ArohaFest : une célébration des arts de l’Inde au Canada. Le seul festival entièrement bilingue célébrant les arts de l’Inde qui se tiendra au Canada mettra en vedette la danse, la musique, les arts visuels, le yoga et Bollywood !

On Friday evening, enjoy performances by three of Canada’s foremost classical Indian dancers Aishwarya Vijaykumar, Sonia St-Michel and Anjali Patil.

Le vendredi soir, assistez aux prestations de trois des plus grandes danseuses classiques indiennes du Canada, Aishwarya Vijaykumar, Sonia St-Michel et Anjali Patil.

On Saturday afternoon, we are premiering a community-based yoga dance project, an art exhibit featuring works by Ottawa visual artists, and an interactive Bollywood dance experience (bring a scarf and a flowing skirt). 

Le samedi après-midi, nous lançons un projet communautaire de danse yoga, une exposition d’œuvres d’artistes visuels d’Ottawa et une expérience interactive de danse Bollywood (apportez un foulard et une jupe fluide).

We conclude on Saturday evening with a classical Indian music concert by Vinay Bhide and Steve Boudreau followed by Juno-award-winning singer-songwriter Kiran Ahluwalia and Rez Abassi. 

Le samedi soir, nous concluons avec un concert de musique classique indienne par Vinay Bhide et Steve Boudreau, suivi par l’auteur-compositeur-interprète Kiran Ahluwalia et Rez Abassi, lauréat d’un prix Juno.
